Second hand shortboard, Al Merrick - The Black Beauty Mode. Has become one of Channel Islands most popular step up boards. A replica of Tom Curren’s famous 1985 Bell’s Beach, Occy beating, and world title winning board. Vee bottom makes this a great board for good waves. Power, speed and flow are timeless cornerstones of good style. The trend to shorter and wider boards has come at the expense of drive, and with top surfers around the globe revisiting power surfing. The usual heel depressions on the deck with a hand full of small rail shatter repairs. Also with a few rail bruises, the bottom has a few small bump depressions, one small onion ring and the back centre fin has double screws in the plug which the back one has one side damaged - see photos.
