Secondhand Retro Surfboard - Barry Bennett Lightning Bolt. Designed by Gerry Lopez. This classic is under license under the Bennett Logo from Brookvale New South Wales on Harbord Road. The board has had a slight cosmetic cleanup many years ago with no extra weight added to her. The deck has the usual heel marks and if you look carefully, you can just make out a few small old school repairs through the red tint. The bottom has also had a few small touchups which you can just make out - awesome job. If you look carefully on the rails, you can just make out a few very small touchups. The bottom also has a few very small thumb depressions. This classic would bean an amazing piece to have in your collection also signed by Gerry Lopez himself on top of the deck with a clear coat over it to secure the  signature. Barry Bennett was also one of the six legends out of the Brookvale to manufacture surfboards in the late  50s early 60s and still making boards these days. If you’re a Bennett fan this board is a must to have in collection and also great investment for the future.
