Secondhand Vintage Surfboard – Gordon Woods 9ft7"

A true classic, this 1965 model from the Gordon Woods factory Brookvale. Gordon Woods, one of the “Brookvale Six” on Sydney’s Northern Beaches during the early 1960s.

This particular board has had just one owner, who purchased it at age 15, with Gordon Woods personally taking his order. For the past 50 years, it has been displayed on a wall and remains in original condition.

The deck shows a handful of light heel marks, some mild tanning, one onion ring, and surface scratches that should polish out with a cut and buff. The rails feature several old-school repairs that could benefit from a little TLC. The bottom has light scratches (also likely to polish out), two onion rings, and a handful of small compression dents.

Overall, this board is in amazing condition for its age—a genuine collector’s piece, or take it out for a spin in your next old mal competition.
