Surf Empire, Middy – Mid Length Mal, shaped and designed by Michael Saggus. All Australian made, South Coast of NSW. The Middy has slightly more rocker, it has a wide point and volume forward of centre. It’s a high performance, mid length for those slightly more demanding days. With medium full rails at the middle, foiling to thin in the tail for speed and bite. Some use it as a ‘Step Up’ and some, a ‘Step Down’. Best for chest high to well overhead. It can turn harder and hold in tighter than most mid-lengths, Drop late, turn hard and hang on! In great condition with slight heel marks on the deck and one tiny repair on the tail tip – see photo.
