Surf Empire V Bottom

$1,100.00

Surf Empire Surfboards V-Bottom, glassed in Volan. In the late 60’s these types of shapes were credited as the pivotal turning point in the ‘shortboard revolution’ after Bob McTavish took one in his single Board quiver to Hawaii in 1967. When he dropped down the face of a Sunset Beach bomb in the Duke Invitational, on the beach the surfing fraternity gasped and ‘things changed’ when despite sliding out on the bottom turn his near vertical change of direction was Board evolution in action. The V-Bottom didn’t survive the mass design evolution of the next 4 years as boards got much shorter. AS NEW RRP $2,000 would suit new buyer. In excellent condition with only two slight heel marks on the deck, but very hard to see. Get that 60’s style of old school surfing back in your life.
