Timber Hollow Malibu. These were surfed from late 1956 until early 1958 when balsa took over, with copper nails. Because of the quality of the workmanship and the way the rails are shaped, this board is thought to be shaped by either a professional shaper (not sure who?), or maybe someone who knew how to work the tools and was guided by a professional shaper (which happened often during the 50's and 60's). A true piece of Australian surfing history. An opportunity like this comes along to grab an incredible and beautiful piece of surfing history. You can hang this one on your wall with pride knowing you have a truly collectable piece to add to, or start, your collection. 9ft1" x 23" x 31/2"
