SOUL SURF DESIGNS DAVID PIMM MODEL

Our David Pimm Model is the ultimate board for easy paddling, while being great on the nose, and an excellent board to turn. Great speed down the line, with double concaves all the way down the board.

Input from Soul Surf team rider, David Pimm, was crucial in the design of this board. Having over 30 years’ experience winning some of the most prominent longboard comps on the East coast, Dave had the knowledge and experience to finely tune what he considers to be his ultimate longboard.

“From age 14, I used to steal (well, ... borrow really) other people’s surfboards from the surf club until I could afford one of my own at age 17. Surfing is the best stress relief around. So if you’re feeling down, go surfing … it makes you feel young again, and you make friends in the water by taking the time to talk to them and sharing waves.

Arrived in Australia from New Zealand in 1968. If it wasn’t for surfing, I would still be in NZ. 50 years I have been here, and it’s the best thing I ever did. Met my wife, had 2 children and now 4 grandchildren. As a family, we have travelled to many surf spots. Won my first longboard contest in 1989 at the Banana at Shellharbour. New Zealand Titles 1994 & 1997. NSW State Longboard Titles 1989 & 2008. Australian Longboard Titles 2008. My son, Christian, is following in my footsteps.”
