McDongah stringerless vintage surfboard, 1966/67 with the large psychedelic decal. A must have for your collection and one of the Brookvale six to have as part of your Australian collection. The usual heel depressions on the deck with two knee marks from paddling. A handful of small battle scars and repairs on the deck. The bottom has some slight tanning and a few small onion repairs. No twist but does have a soft spot on the bottom towards the nose (see marked area in photos) caused by water damage. The nose has some hairline cracks which need repairing. A few small rail shatters than need repairing. In regards to the red rails, there is some debate as to whether or not is it original. We, along with a few local shapers, have had a close look at the rails. Although we cannot be 100% sure, we think that there is original red gel coat underneath, that has been sprayed over some time ago, plus a clear coat, which is peeling. With a bit of light TLC, this board would be an awesome one to ride in your next old mal comp.
