Retro surfboard, Mark Richards, with a small MR Superman Logo, on the deck. Shaped by Bob Margetts and written on the bottom tail area is MR initials and the number 6′ and features a classic period orange fade spray. Usual heel marks and two small onion rings on the deck and you can just make out an old tail grip blemish – a cut and polish should remove the blemish mark. The bottom has some small bump depressions, four small repairs which have been colour matched – pretty close in colour, with some thumb depressions along the bottom rail edge – most likely caused by duck diving – see photos. No delamination or twist, Has had some small repairs around her – tip of the nose and swallows, small rail repairs and small blemishes. The fins have slight surface cracks – should be an easy repair or just leave it alone (see all photos). You can hang this one on your wall with pride knowing you have a truly collectable piece to add to, or start, your collection. This is a true investment piece. This board was a custom order, and just one owner. Originally ordered in late 1979 and it arrived early 1980. Coes with a second hand board bag.
