Scott Dillon – Point Surf Custom Model by Bob Pike

Scott Dillon Vintage Surfboard – Point Surf Custom Model by Bob Pike. One owner 100% original, with original 1965/66 Manly, 1966/67 Manly and 1967/68 Sutherland Surf Craft Permits. This is an extremely rare board, a true collector’s piece and a great piece of surf history out of Brookvale on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. Would be a fantastic wall hanger for your man cave, Pub etc. No twist or delamination. The deck has the usual heel marks, slight scratches, few onion rings and a handful of small repairs needed. The bottom has a few light bump depressions, slight scratches, few onion rings and handful of small repairs needed. Also needs some TLC to the nose tip , tail, rails. Extremely rare find and an opportunity to grab a truly unique item for your collection.

10ft2″ x 22″ x 3⅛”

BOB PIKE:

Although he won an international event in Peru in 1962, becoming the first Australian to win an international event, Pike largely shunned the world of competition. Competition was pitting yourself against the largest waves possible and stripping the act back to it’s barest essentials: board, surfer, wave.

“I am a fanatic for big waves. I just can’t resist them and the urge to paddle out and try to ride the biggest waves of all is the most compelling thing in my life, the most moving challenge I know.” Bob Pike.
