Second Hand Longboard – Wayne Dean Performance Model – Personal Board 9ft6″

Second hand surfboard, Wayne Deane longboard, Performance Model. This Mal was shaped by the man himself, Wayne, and his personal rider made for the Aussie titles 2001 to compete on. Without question Wayne was one of the most talented shapers in Australia. Great piece of surfing history out of QLD. You can hang this one on your wall with pride knowing you have a truly collectable piece to add to, or start, your collection. In great condition for its age and would look amazing hanging up in your man cave, Pub, club etc. The deck has the usual heel marks with Wayne sponsors stickers, with one small rail bruise – see photos. The bottom has some bump depressions with a few small blemishes – see all photos.

WAYNE DEAN
Throughout the 1960s and 70s, Wayne carved out a solid reputation for himself on Queensland’s Gold Coast, particularly at Kirra. His fluent style and power positioning at dredging sand-bottomed barrels like Kirra earned him respect from grommets and seasoned professionals alike. Wayne has won 10 Queensland and 17 Australian Surfing Titles, competing on both short and longboards in most age divisions, in a testament to his surfing prowess and dedication to competitive surfing. He also won the 1990 ISA Longboard World Championship at Chiba in Japan. Apart from his competitive success, Wayne is a gifted and respected surfboard shaper with an understanding of the design and performance of both longboards and modern shortboards.
