1956 Olympic Medal. The birth of modern surfboard riding in Australia. These medals were awarded to either the Officials or Winners of the International Surf Life Saving contest, held at Torquay, Victoria, in 1956 in conjunction with the Olympic Games. At this contest, the American team gave a demonstration of Malibu board riding which started a revolution in Australia. Comes with the original box, and signed letter from Jack Eden. A truly classic piece of surfing history, and an extremely rare item to add to your surfing memorabilia collection.
